A buyer had planned to purchase near SFU Burnaby Campus — a practical move to let their son live on-site during school, save on rent, and sell after graduation. Jeannie helped the client acquire a unit for around $400K. It was soon discovered that most of the son's courses were actually at the Downtown campus, drastically reducing the need to live on Burnaby Mountain.

Jeannie immediately pivoted the strategy: she helped the client lease the unit and hold it steadily for four years, advising on rental pricing, managing tenancy logistics, and ensuring uninterrupted income throughout. When the son confirmed he no longer needed the property, Jeannie helped the client sell for over $600K. Combined with four years of rental income and after deducting costs, the return was substantial — what started as a “save on rent” plan became a strategically managed, high-return asset play.

One of Jeannie's key differentiators is her willingness to go far beyond the closing table — continuing to serve clients long after the deal is done, often exceeding all expectations.

After successfully helping a client purchase a property, the client ran into serious tenancy management and dispute issues. Jeannie stepped in proactively with extensive after-sale support: guiding the client through compliant processes to handle a problematic tenant, pursuing rightful claims for losses within the lease terms, re-screening for more suitable tenants, setting fair rental pricing and renewal terms, and preparing all necessary documentation.

This hands-on work saved the client significant professional fees that would otherwise have been incurred, and prevented both rental interruption and asset loss. The client was so moved that they insisted on expressing their gratitude with flight tickets and a travel itinerary — not because Jeannie did “what she was supposed to,” but because she did what most people simply wouldn't.
